There have recently been some developments in the UAE regulatory landscape and resulting business environment which have impacted on Standard Life International Limited’s (Standard Life) branch in the DIFC.
As a result Standard Life has decided to close the Regular Savings Plans to new business with immediate effect, and cease acceptance of any further contributions into all existing Regular Savings and Investment Plans.
It is with regret that we have also taken the decision to close our branch in Dubai at the end of January 2015, subject to regulatory approvals.
At all times Standard Life tries to limit the impact on our customers of any business changes we make.
As the decision to close our Dubai branch will result in us being unable to continue to service financial advisers in the region and therefore restricts our service to customers, we have contacted all customers with an in force plan directly today.
